Fowl Language Duck Calls
Fowl Language calls provide exceptional realism for the blind and fantastic range of competitive pitches and notes for the stage! During a short-term relocation, due to a corporate take-over, I spent a few months away from home in Naperville, IL. While there, I had the luxury of getting to spend time in Steve Elmore's call-making shop and observe Steve's 100% handcrafted call-making process. While each call is cut to high tolerances, Steve is the first to admit that call variations will occur. Some calls are suited for the duck blind, while others are for competition. Steve has the capability to custom-tune a call to fit a particular callers' needs.

For myself, Steve worked to craft a call that fit my particular calling idiosyncrasies. This call served me well for the Y2K competition calling season, culminating in a win at the Ohio Regional. Steve has also crafted several Fowl Language calls for friends of mine, from easy blowing, "smokers' calls" to shingle-rattling open water screamers. For the best value in a competition quality acrylic duck call, I'd highly recommend considering a "Fowl Language" call, still made one at a time, handcrafted by Steve Elmore.

Steve's call is my magic flute for the way I naturally like to put air through the call. The guys say they're isn't a magic flute but I totally disagree, There is people out there who sort of have the same style of presenting air through the call as to fit your style more comfortably and Steve Elmore's call seems to do it for me. I don't have to fight it , it just sings. His calls are very ducky and they fit the bill for large water and windy days. I looked at a lot of calls and everyone has a little different style calling or presenting air through it. The people who tune them find the way they tune them to be more comfortable for them to make the sounds they want yet another guy can tune his or her short reed goose call where one guy who has problems the other can sing the same song with good goosy tones and fluidity. I also find this is true with duck calls. You want the calls that you most easily get the right tones, and Steve Elmore's calls get the right tones for me.

My dad loves his Fowl Language Acrylic Call. He blows it everyday on his way to work to get ready for hunting season. The call has a great lifelike sound. Blows very sharp and crisp. The best deal for a quality acrylic call on the market!

Thanks for the great call, you were right on the money with your advice about the pit crew call. I practice when I get a chance. Hopefully we will get the right weather this season and the migrates will get here before the season is over. I will keep you in mind for my call needs in the future.
Good Hunting!
